Week 3 Fantasy Reactions & Notes

Week 4 has already started with the Thursday night game in the books, but I just wanted to reflect back on Week 3 and share some of my notes and reactions from Sunday.

• How does Mariota throw for 300?
• Bab-ee Chark, do-do, do, do-do-do!
• Dede (9 targets) still getting play.
• Courtland suddenly coming of age, he’s a player.
• Lindsay breakouts in week 3.
• Rolls Royce, flexing PPR appeal.
• MVS making noise in Week 3.
• Jets offense has no propulsion, needs a booster (Darnold)
• It’s Dorsett and Burkhead taking the lead in Pats O
• Mixon finally comes to life
• John Ross disappoints with 2 catches
• Boyd leads the way with 11 targets.
• Who is Auden Tate?
• It’s the Frank Gore show in Buffalo.
• Cole Beasley is the safety net; 10 targets
• A new emerging fantasy star; Preston Williams, 23 targets in 2019
• Zeke just pounds the ground
• Cooper just scores touchdowns; adds 2 more in week 3
• Return of the Mack, dances on.
• Jacoby Brissett impressive with 300 and the win
• It’s Hooper and Jones in week 3, the next dynamic duo?
• Oh Calvin, what happened? (one target)
• Lamar is fantasy gold!
• It’s Showtime with Pat Mahomes!
• Ingram for the Tri-fecta and a cool hundy!
• Andrews is quiet, but still sees 7 targets.
• Hollywood and Jackson not N’Sync.
• Travis is tight on Sunday with 7 grabs on 8 targets
• Shady totals 90 yards and two scores.
• Wala, Wala, Waller going off in Week 3.
• Not digging Diggs 3 targets.
• Another big Sunday for Cook; 143 total yards
• Production down, but Kerryon logs 21 touches in week  3
• Ronald Jones with 15 touches and 121 yards!
• Jameis Winston stock on the rise after 380 yards passing and 3 Tds
• Daniel Jones accounts for four scores; 2 pass, 2 rush
• Sterling Shepard shows up in week 3; 7-100-1
• In New Orleans it’s just Kamara and Thomas.
• Russell Wilson is huge in week 3 with 400 yards passing and 4 scores

My Week One Reaction & notes:

• Not going to over-react with Jones, Adams, and Rodgers
• Will need lots of patience with Bears offense
• Robinson and Cohen are PPR stars.
• Dalvin Cook-good start, he’s an RB1, Top 5 fantasy RB
• Cousins; quiet game, game script, still productive
• Falcons pass defense better, run defense not so good
• Ryan looked rusty, needed more snaps, will bounce back week 2
• Jones got his work (11 targets), but not numbers; he’ll be fine.
• Ridley with a nice week 1, could be huge in week 2.
• Watched Eagles footage, believing in Wentz
• Give him an arm (Wentz) and DeSean still electric
• McLaurin looks like a deep deadly weapon.
• The John Brown myth continues to grow and may be real
• Like Singletary’s role to grow going forward; Waiver or trade target
• Chris Thompson is PPR magic with 10 targets again
• Hockenson is a waiver or trade target, if you can deal; playmaker in the making
• Lamar looked good as a running back, even better as a passer.
• Adnrews, high volume safety blanket, borderline TE1.
• Sammy Watkins is a hot rising stock, will continue to rise for now.
• All Rams wide receivers are in play in 2019
• Garoppolo a little shaky, but another game under his belt and another win.
• Where is Steelers tight end Vance McDonald?
• Where is the Steelers offense.
• The Goat. And they have AB joining them.
• Derek Carr looks sharp; year two under Gruden, what a difference.
• This Darren Waller kid looks like the real deal.
• It’s the Lindsay-Freeman show in the Broncos backfield.
• Flacco looked pretty good; stood tall, looked poised, and still has arm strength.
• Welcome to 2019 Courtland Sutton.

Saturday Morning Edition

Week 10 Fantasy Notes

With the start of Sunday’s games less than 24 hours away, here’s a rundown of notes for some of the Week 10 matchups;

GB @ CHI

The Bears running back Jordan Howard has been a beast of a runner this season racking up 662 yards rushing (ranks 5th) which include three 100-yard efforts, He’ll face a Packers defense that ranks 22nd against the run and allows the 4th most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

CLE @ DET

Normally not a team that runs much, but for the Lions this week they may be forced to lean even more on Matthew Stafford and their passing game. The Lions face the Browns number 4 ranked run defense, so look for Marvin Jones Jr and Stafford to play big in this one.

PIT @  IND

With the return of Martavis Bryant this week, the Steelers will be employing all of their Killer Bees; Ben, Bell, Brown, and Bryant. It’s a road game, but with the addition of JuJu Smith-Schuster it will be Big Ben and his JuJu-Bees on Sunday; look for big numbers from Roethlisberger.

NYJ @ TB

Across the board, this looks like a good matchup for the Jets offense. The Bucs defense has struggled this season and in particular against opposing wide receivers allowing the 2nd most receptions. In DFS and PPR formats and especially I’m all in with Jets receiver Robby Anderson; Sunday could be a big day.

MIN @ WAS

A couple of notes in this one, with Redskins tight end Jordan Reed not 100 percent with a big questionable tag for Sunday, Vernon Davis figures to see a more prominent role in the passing game. On the other side, the Vikings will have a healthy Stefon Diggs on the field. With Diggs healthy, his presence will draw some of the Redskins attention away from Adam Thielen; a week 10 favorite

HOU @ LAR

The Rams offense is rolling and with a home tilt against the ailing Texans, this week, the wheels will keep turning. All eyes on the defense will be focused on Todd Gurley, but facing a secondary that allows the 6th most fantasy points to opposing receivers, we could see Sammy Watkins heavily in the mix.

DAL @ ATL

The Falcons will play host to the Cowboys and their 15th ranked secondary that’s allowed 10 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. With all the attention likely to be focused on Julio Jones, Sunday looks like a good day for Mohamed Sanu to find pay dirt.
