Week 14: By the Numbers

Wide Receivers

The Bears wide receiver DJ Moore (currently tied as the fantasy WR23 this season) has been a Top-10 fantasy wide receiver (fantasy WR4) over his last three games. Moore has totaled 22 receptions for 265 yards receiving with two touchdowns on 30 targets. His 96 targets this season rank 10th among all wide receivers. It’s a tough Week 14 matchup on the road against the Niners (ranked 7th versus opposing wide receivers), but the Bears wideout should see enough volume to post decent numbers as a low WR-two or flex play.

Tight Ends

The Raiders rookie tight end Brock Bowers just continues to produce every week. Bowers is the number one fantasy tight end this season, leading all at the position with 84 receptions, 884 yards receiving, and 113 targets. Bowers has recorded 11 catches for 20+ yards (tied for most) and 4 touchdowns (tied for 5th at the position). While his week 14 opponent (Buccaneers, ranked 27th versus opposing tight ends) have been playing better against the position, Bowers should continue to see plenty of work (40 targets over the last three games). Bowers remains a must-start this week.

The Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has been targeted 75 times this season (ranks 6th among all tight ends). Ertz ranks in the Top-10 for all receivers (TE, WR, etc) in red zone targets this season and his 4 touchdowns ranks second on the team. He’ll still remain a low TE1 in fantasy coming out of the bye.

Week 14: By the Numbers

Quarterbacks

Despite some early struggles this season, the Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has been steadily working his way up the fantasy QB scoring charts. Over his last three games the rookie has been scoring as the fantasy QB6 (overall this season he’s fantasy QB17). His recent fantasy numbers are supported by his 5 touchdown passes (3 in week 13) and his 142 rushing yards. He’s got a tough week 14 road matchup with the 49ers, but with six teams on bye he should be considered a fantasy start this week.

Running Backs

The Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle is proof, if given the opportunity you can succeed. In Dowdle’s case, the necessary volume. Over his past five games, Dowdle is averaging 18.2 touches and 83.6 scrimmage yards per game with two total touchdowns, elevating him to low-end RB2 status (currently fantasy RB29 for the season - flex play territory). With a week 14 home matchup with the Bengals (ranked 28th in fantasy versus opposing running backs the last 4 weeks), Dowdle should be more than a safe RB-two fantasy start this Sunday.

Week 14: Waiver Watch

With running backs Christian McCaffrey (IR) and Jordan Mason (IR) shutdown, Niners running back Isaac Guerendo (246 yards rushing, 5.9 yds/carry this season) will be a popular add this week.

Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine should be a target with three straight games with at least one touchdown reception (two last week) and a score in 7 of his last 8 games.

The Browns quarterback Jameis Winston is not likely to throw 50 plus times in many more games this season, but Elijah Moore's 14 targets Monday night, and six straight games with 5 or more targets (9 targets/game average) should put him near the top of the list for Week 14 wavier wire consideration. Just my take.
