Week 13: By the Numbers

The Playmakers

When Higgins is on the field, he produces. It’s not been a memorable 2024 season for the Bengals wide receiver having missed 5 games. But in the 6 games he has played, he’s averaging 9.7 targets, 6.3 receptions, and 81.5 yards receiving per game with 4 touchdowns this season. In his last two games against the Steelers (week 13 opponent) Higgins has eclipsed 140 yards receiving. He’s a must start this week. Just my take.

The Soft-hands People

The Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has been the epitome of Mr. Consistent over his last 7 games, scoring in double-digit fantasy points in all seven. McBride is coming off his best performance of the season, with a 12-catch and 133 receiving yards performance. He has yet to touch paydirt this season, but he is the Cards leading receiver this season in receptions (61) and yards (685) and he’s due to cash in. The Vikings have done a pretty good job this season versus tight ends, yielding only two scores, one to Kittle (SF) and the other to Kraft (GB). I like McBride's chances on Sunday to score. Just my Take.

Week 13: By the Numbers

The Strong arms

This week looks like a good week to stay with the hot hand of the Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. He could be a nice Week 13 plug and play. He has not only been playing very well recently (his last three games), but in his last four starts at home, he’s scored over 20 fantasy points in each, averaging 25.6 fantasy points. Nix has tossed 11 touchdowns to one interception over those last four home tilts. I like Nix. Just my Take.

The Crazy legs

Running back Alvin Kamara has been a workhorse for the Saints offense this season and over his last three games he’s averaging 25.7 touches and 137.6 yards of offense. Kamara has a tremendous floor, but his scoring drought (last touchdown was back in week 6) has seemingly capped his ceiling. A matchup with the Panthers (14 rushing touchdowns allowed - tied most in NFL) this Sunday could be just what the fantasy doctor ordered. The last time these two teams met, Kamara ran for 155 yards on the ground. Looks like a top 5 week for Kamara. Just my take.

Week 13: Waiver Watch

The Chiefs tight end Noad Gray might be the Waiver wire flavor of the week for tight ends, coming off a two touchdown game, but don’t ignore the Bears Cole Kmet’s 10 targets this past Sunday. Also if the Cowboys Jake Ferguson is sidelined again this week Luke Schoonmaker could be trustworthy this week against the Giants coming off back-to-back double digit fantasy scoring in weeks 11 & 12.

Week 12: By The Numbers

The High-flyers

This Sunday figures to be a great opportunity for the Giants new signal caller (Tommy DeVito) to get well acquainted with his number one receiver Malik Nabers. The Giants leading receiver will be catching passes against a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the 7th most receptions and 6th most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

The Gridiron-Grinders

This could be another Travis Kelce Sunday as the Chief big tight end gets set to take on the Carolina Panthers D. The Panthers allow the second most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, including the 3rd most over the past 4 weeks. Kelce figures to be a busy target in the red zone and a good bet for a touchdown.
