Week 11: By The Numbers

The Running Backs

The Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has been on a heater the past 4 weeks, averaging nearly 20 fantasy points per game. During the stretch he has totaled 379 yards rushing, 3 rushing touchdowns, 10 catches, and 98 yards receiving, good enough for the fantasy RB5 (tied) spot. His matchup on Sunday looks like a great opportunity to improve these numbers facing a Jaguars defense ranked 30th versus opposing running backs. The Jaguars have been particularly vulnerable versus the pass, allowing the 5th most receptions (58), 4th most receiving yards (463), and 4 touchdowns (2nd most) to running backs. Gibbs is locked in as a must start and strong DFS play.

Quietly, since week 6, the Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been the fantasy RB8 (points per game). Over his last four games, Jacobs has averaged 90 rushing per game with a 5.3 yards per carry average (ranked 6th - minimum 30 carries during this time) and 3 touchdowns. Sunday’s matchup against the Bears sets up an opportunity for continued success. The Bears defense (ranked 15th versus opposing running backs) has allowed the 11th most yards on the ground (1,004) and allows 4.9 yards per carry (ranked 27th in the league). Jacobs should be in line for a productive day on the ground.

Week 11: By The Numbers

The Quarterbacks

Since week 6 the Niners quarterback Brock Purdy has been the fantasy QB4 (during his 4 game stretch), with 9 total touchdowns (6 pass, 3 rush) and 270 yards passing per game. In his week 6 matchup on the road against the Seahawks (week 11 opponent), Purdy threw for 255 yards and tossed 3 scores. Facing the Seahawks 15th ranked defense versus opposing quarterbacks the last 4 weeks, Purdy should be primed for a big Sunday with most of his horses (CMC, Deebo, Jennings, and Kittle) in the stable.

Sunday night should be filled with plenty of fireworks with the Los Angeles Chargers playing host to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has been hot over his last three games (fantasy QB6 during this stretch), averaging better than 21 fantasy points per game with 6 total touchdowns and better than 240 yards passing per game. He’ll match up against a Bengals defense that allows the 5th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Herbert needs to be in lineups this week.

Week 11 (Late) Waiver Watch

As we enter the back stretch of the fantasy season, the upcoming bye weeks can present challenges. With only the likes of Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray on bye, most of the big guns under center are available. But if you are lean under center this week, Derek Carr may be a consideration in Week 11. Modestly owned in ESPN and NFL leagues, Carr is coming off his second best statistical performance of the season, posting over 20 fantasy points only for the second time this season. With a week 11 clash versus a Browns defense that has allowed 19 or more fantasy points to opposing QBs in 5 of their last 7 games, Carr is in play.

Hardly owned in fantasy leagues across the board, the Bills tight end Dawson Knox has to be the week 11 Sunday Sleeper. The Chiefs (Bills week 11 opponent) are ranked 31st in fantasy versus opposing tight ends, surrendering the 3rd most receptions (60) and the most receiving yards (698) to the position. The Bills will be without the services of starting tight end Dalton Kincaid, opening the door to a potential breakout day for Knox. If you’re not starting a top 10 tight end this week, Knox needs to be on your radar as a potential plug and play for week 11.

Week 10: Fire and Ice

Who’s Hot
The Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has posted four rushing touchdowns in his last three games, while averaging 102.6 yards rushing. Next Opponent Texans D - ranked 3rd versus opposing RB.

The Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey (fantasy WR14 the past 3 weeks) has tallied 16 receptions, for 221 yards receiving, and two scores. Next Opponent Titans D - ranked 4th versus opposing WR.

Who’s Not
The Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was expected to be more impactful in the run game this season, but injuries delayed his start and as of late he’s been relatively quiet. In his last three games he’s averaging 11.3 touches, 46 yards of offense, and Coming out of the bye week, he will be tough to trust. Next opponent Commanders D - ranked 12th versus opposing RB.

The Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has all but disappeared the past several weeks. In his last three starts Moore has totaled 10 catches for 80 yards receiving with zero touchdowns; 3.3 receptions and 26.6 yards receiving average. He’ll be a shaky start on Sunday facing the Patriots secondary. Next opponent Patriots D - ranked 19th versus opposing WR.

Sunday Morning Gametime

Week 10 FF Notes

Cardinals defense has allowed 264.5 yards passing per game their past four games, including a 66% completion rate with just one interception. Next Opposing QB - Aaron Rodgers, NYJ

The Saints run defense has been struggling mightily the past four weeks, allowing the 5th most rushing yards (509) and a league worst 5.5 yards per carry. Their 7 rushing touchdowns allowed during this stretch, most allowed. Next Opposing RB - Bijan Robinson, ATL.

The Vikings secondary played well last week against the Colts, but this is coming off of consecutive weeks getting torched by opposing wideouts for 388 yards and five touchdowns. This could be another good outing for the Vikes D facing the Jaguars backup QB on Sunday. Next opposing WR - Brian Thomas Jr, JAX

The Jaguars defense has allowed an average of 6.5 receptions, 51.0 yards receiving, and .75 receiving touchdowns over the past four weeks, ranked 28th versus opposing tight ends in this stretch. Next opposing TE - TJ Hockenson, Min.
