This Week on the Cover….
The Fantasy Studs of Tomorrow…
Well the NFL draft is complete and now that we’ve had a little time to digest who went where, it’s time to take a look at who’s going to rise to the top in 2009. While there will be many that may argue, it’s going to be difficult to deny some of the obvious selections in this year’s draft that will have an immediate impact.
Rookie running back Knowshon Moreno (Georgia) has a tremendous opportunity to be a workhorse in the Mile High City. Without a clear-cut favorite in Denver, Moreno looks like a strong candidate to win the job.
In the city of brotherly love, rookie receiver Jeremy Maclin (Missouri) does not have all the credentials of a proven veteran, but with an established cast and a whirlwind of talent, he’ll surely become a fan favorite very quickly.
There were quite a few stunning moves made in this year’s draft, but it’s not likely that no pick was a great surprise or bigger move than the Jets selection of quarterback Mark Sanchez. Having only been a part of a few minicamps with the team, Sanchez is already making an impression, enough for many to predict big things in the future.
While we can sit here today and talk about the potential of these kids, there’s only one way to know and that is to see them play; something we are sure to witness soon enough.
Next up, the NFL 2009 season and the fantasy studs of tomorrow!
