This Week’s Knuckle-Head
“That’s terrible”
Big Games are for Big Players
Romo needs to prove himself…
It's time to start recognizing the actions of players on the field, not just off the field. This week's hands down candidate is quarterback Tony Romo. If you are going to lead America's team you have to be ready to take the fall when they disappoint and did they on Sunday night.
While this is only September, this matchup had all the makings of prime-time and center-stage at it’s best. This was not only a national audience, the team’s homecoming, but it’s biggest division rival and instead of taking the bull by the horns, Romo and the Cowboys were bull-dozed.
Often criticized for his inability to come up big in the biggest of stages, Romo added more fuel to his critic’s fire with a very poor and inept performance Sunday night. Despite his gritty performance that included a third quarter keeper from the 3-yard line, Romo’s outing was marred with costly mistakes, poor decisions and many inaccurate throws.
The Cowboys quarterback finished the night with three turnovers, 44 percent of his passes completed, and a passer rating of 29.6.
When it’s time to make big plays, you can’t be turning the ball over. What a knuckle-head…
