November 21st, 2008 11:15am PST

NFL WEEK 12
NFL KEY INJURIES

...Notable Injuries for this Sunday:
  • The Saints running back Reggie Bush is looking good to play Monday night and would figure to play a big parts in the Saints short passing game, if available.
  • Seahawks' quarterback Matt Hasselbeck practiced for a second consecutive day yesterday and will start Sunday against the Washington Redskins
  • The Redskins running back Clinton Portis was limited in practice Friday with his sprained knee and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
  • The Giants' receiver Palxico Burress was limited at practice Friday with a hamstring injury and he will be a game-time decision.
  • The Giants' running back Brandon Jacobs practiced for the second day and is expected to play Sunday.
  • The Cotls' safety Bob Sanders still has swelling in his knee and his status probably won't be determined until just before gametime.

....TO has a little cold this week, but owners should not worry about his status for Sunday. TO will start.

FSH: WEEK 12 PLAYERS ON THE MOVE

November 19th, 2008 10:57pm PST

Players On The Move
(WEEK 12 WAIVER WIRE)

Back in Week 10 it was the rise of the Silver-surfers or in this case NFL tight ends with the likes of Scaife, Winslow, and Gonzalez putting up the big numbers for fantasy owners. Even players like Keller, Scheffler, Heap, and Boss came on to make impacts.

In Week 11 there was a change in the guard like a changing of the wind with wide receivers flying high and a pair of Cardinals (Boldin and Fitzgerald) leading the way. Some un-notables that made noise were players on the move like, Justin Gage and Donnie Avery. For those owners that had these wingmen in their line up, also had their lucky tickets last Sunday. So who will be your Golden ticket for Week 12?

Willy Wants Ya (Weekly) "Golden TicketS"

This week's Tickets...

QB-Matt Cassel (NE)
....the Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel did his best Tom Brady impression in Week 11 and he wasn't all the bad. In fact Cassel played extremely well passing for 400 yards with three touchdowns and adding 62 yards rushing against the Jets Thursday night. With weapons like Welker, Moss, and Watson starting to make plays for him, Cassel figures to be a hot ticket in Week 12 and could make a big impact heading into the fantasy playoffs.

RB-Warrick Dunn (TB)
....with Earnest Graham going down and Carnell Williams making his season debut this Sunday against the Lions, Dunn figures to big the featured back in Week 12. Dunn played well last Sunday totaling 118 yards of offense with 24 touches on the day. Dunn is more than capable of being a featured back in the run game, but at his age and size how much can he shoulder. There's no question with his two career 100-yard rushing performances (in his last four games) against the Lions owners will scramble to pick up the 5'9" dart from Baton Rouge. Dunn is a strong play in Week 12, but owners should check matchups and watch how the Caddy runs on Sunday.

WR-Justin Gage (TEN)
....with opposing team's stacking the line these days, the Titan's have been forced to take to the air. With Kerry Collins showing he can still chuck the rock, wideout Justin Gage has quickly become an impact fantasy receiver. In his last two starts Gage has put up solid fantasy numbers scoring three times and totaling 194 yards with 8 receptions. Gage has actually been better than that this season with Collins. In the five games Gage has started with Kerry, he has scored in three of those games and has 18 receptions. The Titan's receiver will be a hot ticket item for owners and could pay huge dividends if defenses continue to focus on the run.

More "Men on the Move"...

Just when you thought it was safe to go back with your starters, Lee Evans in Buffalo disappears, Jake Delhomme in Carolina barely passes the century mark, and Willis McGahee in Baltimore can’t find any holes. What is an owner to do? And so the weekly saga continues once again as fantasy owners hope to find and awake their sleeping fantasy giant in Week 12.

QB-Kerry Collins (TEN)
.....is there any surprise to see people starting to talk about Collins at this point in the season? The natural response is yes of course, but maybe there shouldn't be. Collins has always had a big arm, add a solid running game and one of the league's best offensive lines (5 sacks allowed this season), and should we really be surprised to see what he is doing; 519 yards passing, 5 touchdowns the past two Sundays. If Collins is not owned, at this point he should be.

WR- Kevin Curtis (PHI)
.....the Eagles wideout is slowly working his way back into the mix. Over the past three weeks, Curtis has caught 16 passes for 172 yards and a score. While he has yet to put up big numbers, Curtis was targeted 12 times on Sunday and 36 times in his four games back. It's just a matter of time before he and quarterback Donovan McNabb start connecting.

RB-Antonio Pittman (STL)
.....the Rams will be without running back Steven Jackson, which will mean Pittman will get his 5th consecutive start this season. Last week the Rams running back was a solid start rushing for 95 yards on 14 carries and in his four starts this season Pittman has caught 12 passes. With Jackson out again, Pittman could be a weekly rental this week against the Bears for owners out of options.

WR-Deion Branch (SEA)
.....the Seahawks receiver returned in Week 11 and suffered no setbacks or incidents on Sunday. Branch caught just 4 passes for 54 yards and was targeted 9 times. With quarterback Matt Hasselbeck back in the line up Branch becomes an appealing option for owners needing help at the receiver position. Look for Branch to move quickly from the waiver wires into fantasy line ups down the stretch.

"DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH"

It can become a mind numbing process "Searching the scrap heaps" trying hard to find those hidden gems when you need them to shine most. Fortunately in fantasy, there’s always a new flavor of the week to come along. After looking over “the week that was” here are a few "Diamonds in the rough" that could be flickering bright sometime soon.

YOUR WEEK 12 DEEP SLEEPERS...

RB-Peyton Hillis (Den)
....the Broncos' rookie running back was the featured short yardage ball carrier and goal line back in Week 11. Hillis took advantage of his role barreling into the end-zone twice on Sunday. With Tatum Bell figuring into the mix, Hillis is not likely to see a lot of yardage, but could continue to see the goal line carries and steal a few rushing touchdowns. The Bronco's boast one of the league's top offenses, so there shouldn't be any shortage of opportunities.

RB-Derrick Ward (NYG)
.....with rumors abound suggesting that the Giant's running back Brandon Jacobs suffered a knee injury in Week 11 and that he could miss time this weekend, Derrick Ward becomes a hot pick up for this week. The "Wind" of the Giant's three headed rushing attack has been a solid runner this season gaining over 500 yards in part-time duty and averaging over 5-yards per carry. Ward normally a solid fantasy flex option is a dual threat and solid play in Week 12, if Jacobs sits.

RB-Jerome Harrison (Cle)
....the Brown's change-of-pace running back broke loose Monday night for a 72-yard rushing score. Over the past couple of weeks Harrison has shown great quickness on the field and a burst of speed that has head coach Romeo Crennel singing his praises. There was talk that Harrison could see a larger role in the offense, but this has yet to be confirmed. Harrison did suffer a minor setback Monday night injuring his hamstring, but if he's available in Week 12, he could be an interesting consideration with a favorable matchup against the Texans.

RB-JJ Arrington (Ari)
....over the past several weeks the Cardinal's new number two running backs has been making his name more common in the fantasy world. In two of his past three games Arrington has found the end-zone and in those two combined, he has 7 receptions, 15 carries and 180 total yards. He did disappear in Week 10, when the team decided to air it out. Arrington had just one carry. With Hightower not performing quite as well as many had speculated, Arrington has found more opportunity and as long as he runs well (5.9 yards per carry this season) he could spend more time on the field.

RB-Tatum Bell (Den)
....the Bronco's newest running back was able to see a little action in Week 11. Tatum Bell was limited to just 7 carries in his return debut with the Broncos, but he did gain 34 yards. As he continues to work with the team and gets back to football shape, Bell could see his work load and numbers increase. The Broncos will likely be without running back Selvin Young for another week, leaving the door open for Bell to works his way into the mix.

"LYING IN WAIT" UNDER WATCHFUL EYES...

By this time of the season, it starts getting tough to find anything worth value left on the free agent market. Sometimes you have to take a second look at some players that were cast aside or consider new options that have just become available. Whether it’s the former of the latter, when considering these options, it’s always a safe move to consider under watchful eyes.

Your Week 11 Players to watch....

QB-Marc Bulger (STL)
.....the Rams quarterback did not play very well in Week 11 committing three turnovers in the first half, however in the second half it was a different story. Once the third quarter began in a game that was already decided, Bulger did not commit any turnovers, led the team to 16 points, and over 200-yards of offense. It wasn't a spectacular day for Bulger, but it was a nice way to bounce back after a horrendous start. Bulger has struggled this season compared to most and with OT Orlando Pace out his future does not look appealing. With the Bears 26th ranked secondary due next in town, Bulger is a deep sleeper to turn his fortune around against a team he shredded for 356 yards and three touchdowns back in 2006.

RB-Carnell Williams (TB)
.....the Buccaneers running back is set to make his 2008 debut on Sunday against the Lions, normally a great matchup. Considering that Williams has yet to play this season, the risk may be too great for owners to start him in Week 12. Williams may be worth picking up this week, but should be left on your benches until we've seen what the kid can do. If his knee is fully recovered, Williams becomes a more appealing option to consider versus Dunn, because of his speed and size (he's 30-lbs heavier than Dunn). This week owners will definitely want to keep the Caddy under watchful eyes.

EARTH-SHAKERS! PLAY-MAKERS!
GAME-BREAKERS!

Graham done for the season with ankle injury...
....the Buccaneer's running back suffered ligament damage to his ankle in Week 11 and it appears Graham could be done for the season. With Graham out, the Buc's will turn to running backs Warrick Dunn and Carnell Williams (when he's healthy) to carry the load the rest of the way. Dunn offers some value as a flex option in most leagues, but Williams is a high-risk play until owners can see what he can do.

Jackson already ruled OUT for Week 12...
....with Jackson already ruled out it could be time for fantasy owners to start showing some concern. Reports are Jackson saw a specialist for a second opinion, but the results were the same. Jackson will rest the leg and hopefully can return to action in Week 13. Owners should consider a plan B until we see Jackson back in action.

Schaub not expected back anytime soon...
.....it's being reported that head coach Gary Kubiak admitted that Matt Schaub had suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 8. Schaub could be throwing this week, but it's doubtful he'll be moving around much soon and he's a long shot to return this season. Fantasy owners will need to look elsewhere for help.

Saints sign running back Mike Bell...
.....with Reggie Bush still not 100% and the prospect of losing Deuce McAllister for four games looming the Saints have signed running back Mike Bell according to Scout.com. Bell could see action, but with Bush (returning soon) and Pierre Thomas in the mix the former Bronco is hardly worth any fantasy consideration

McAllister and others could face suspensions soon...
....with the appeals heard today from several NFL players including McAllister regarding league steroid use policies, the league is expected to rule on the matter by some time early next week according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network. With the Deuce's future in question, fantasy owners look for running back Pierre Thomas to lead the Saints ground game.

Jacobs could miss action in Week 12 with sore knee...
....according to the NY Daily News, there's a chance the team could rest Jacobs in Week 12. The Giant's running back has been sending out mixed signals on the matter, but look to Friday to determine Jacobs' status. If he practices in full, we'd expect to see him play on Sunday, otherwise the team could opt to rest him against the Cardinals.

Brown's Harrison is uncertain for Week 12...
....the Brown's running back suffered a hamstring injury Monday night, but head coach Romeo Crennel is not offering much information other than to say Harrison's status is uncertain. It is not clear if Harrison will see a larger role in the offense, but owners should keep an eye on Wednesday's practice to see his availability.

Williams to play in Week 12 against Lions....
....reports are that the Buc's will start up the Caddy for Week 12 against the Lions. Williams was inactive this past Sunday and will see his first action of the season this Sunday. With Cadillac coming back from a horrific knee injury he suffered a year ago, he remains a very risky play. Owners should wait and see how Williams plays before starting.

Winslow suffers shoulder injury Monday night...
....the Brown's tight end was injured in the team's Monday night win, after landing hard on his shoulder. Winslow was grimacing in pain, but walked off under his own power. Winslow is expected to have an MRI scheduled and his status should be updated Wednesday.

Bill's QB Edwards struggles in Week 11 loss....
....the Bill's quarterback continues to slump throwing three more picks in Week 11. Edwards has thrown 8 picks in his last four starts and as he continues his poor play, the Bills receiving corp will struggle. WR Lee Evans owners should be concerned, with Edwards playing bad, the Bill's receiver has only 63 receiving yards in his last three games.

IDP NEWS...

Chief's DB Surtain could return this Sunday...
....the Chief's cornerback has seen little action this season having missed the previous three game with a quad injury, but could return Sunday to face the Bills. The Chief's defense has struggled this year and Surtain's return could help this young squad improve against a Bill's passing offense that has played poorly of late.

Bailey expected to returned to practice Wednesday...
....the Bronco's are hoping to see the return of cornerback Champ Bailey to practice this Wednesday. Bailey returned to practice on a limited basis last week, but was unable to play. Bailey has usually been a stout IDP start, but owners will need to see Bailey complete a full practice on Friday, before inserting back in the line up.

Pacman hoping to return to the Cowboys...
.....the Cowboys troubled cornerback completed his required alcohol counseling for violating the league's personal conduct policy and will now await for the Commissioner Roger Goodell to rule on his reinstatement. Based on Pacmans history he's likely a long-shot to get reinstated anytime soon.

Chief's LB Edwards looking doubtful for Week 12...
.......the Chief's defense that has been riddled with injuries this season could be without linebacker Donnie Edwards this Sunday. Edwards aggravated a nagging hamstring injury and appears doubtful for Sunday.

FSH: TUESDAY (FOOTBALL) TALK

November 18th, 2008 6:37am PST

TUESDAY (FOOTBALL) TALK

Monday Night recap...

The Browns sneak past the Bills....

.....the night wasn't pretty, but it sure was cold. Orchard Park was a crisp 30 degrees at kickoff with a wind chill of 22 and while it was cold, both offenses started the evening just as cold. The Bills quarterback Trent Edwards had trouble identifying his teammates in the early going throwing three interceptions in the team's first four drives. While the Browns were set up with great field position on three of their first four drives they could only muster two field-goals.

It was a fortuitous start for the Browns jumping out to an early 13-0 lead, following a 2-yard run from Josh Cribbs. The touchdown by Cribbs capped off a 12-play 96-yards drive with a couple of key passes from quarterback Brady Quinn to wide receiver Braylon Edwards. Edwards looked like he was in top form Monday night, catching 8 passes for 104 yards. With the Brown's out front in the early going and their quarterback struggling, the Bills did not panic. Led by running back Fred Jackson's 35 yards rushing during the drive and Lynch's 18-yard touchdown reception, the Bills answered back making the score 13-7. With both offenses trying to get out of first gear in the 2nd quarter the Bills closed off the first half with a 13-play 54-yard drive to close the gap to 13-10.

The second half of the game started out much like how the first half ended with the kickers highlighting the scoring in the third quarter, but when the 4th quarter opened the game took on a new personality with both teams getting big plays. On the first play of the final quarter the Browns running back Jerome Harrison broke loose over the left side and scampered his way to a 72-yard touchdown run to push the Brown's second half lead to 23-13. Moments later on the ensuing kickoff the Bills return man Leodis McKelvin took the kick back 98-yards for a touchdown making the score 23-20.

The hot hand on the night was the leg of Browns' kicker Phil Dawson. After the Bills charged back and drove in for the go ahead score, highlighted by Trent Edward's 1-yard touchdown, the Browns had again squandered a 13-point lead for the second time in two weeks. Back in Week 10 against the Broncos, the Browns led 23-10 in the second half before eventually losing 34-30. This was a team that had been called out by one of its' team leaders barely a week ago. Running back Jamal Lewis had accused many of his teammates of quitting in their Week 10 loss. With their backs against the wall on Monday night, how would the team respond?

With 2:25 left on the clock and the ball spotted on their own 33-yard line, the Browns led by Quinn drove the ball 28-yards in 46 seconds, down to the Bills 39-yard line to set up Phil Dawson for the potential kick that could give the Browns the lead back. With 1:39 left in the game and ball spotted on the Bills 46-yard line, Dawson proceeded to kick his career long 56-yard field-goal right down the middle to give his team the lead for good. The Bills kicker Rian Lindell would get his shot at a game winning kick, but his 47-yard try sailed right, preserving the Brown's Week 11 victory.

Fantasy notes:

The Bills got a huge performance from running back Marshawn Lynch in the team's Monday night loss. Lynch was a fantasy stud, rushing for over 100 yards for the first time this season and totaling 177 yards on the night. Lynch added 10 catches to his totals, which included a very nice 18 yard catch and run for a score. Quarterback Trent Edwards continued to struggle throwing 3 more picks (that's 8 in his last four games) and completing 16 passes for a mere 148 yards. Edwards did not look comfortable once he threw the three picks and was only targeting short routes and check downs. With their quarterback struggling the receiving corp manufactured just 4 receptions for 62 yards..........the Brown's quarterback Brady Quinn did not have his best night as he struggled in his second NFL start. Quinn only completed 14 of 36 passes for 185 yards. The Bills kept constant pressure up the middle and did not let Quinn get comfortable in the pocket. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards had one of his better nights in the team's Week 11 win catching 8 passes, but it was the leg of kicker Phil Dawson that was the offenses best weapon as he connected on five field-goals Monday night.

This week's "Dark-horses".....

With the NFL scheduled to hear the appeals from several players on steroid policy violations, the Saints running back Deuce McAllister stands in line as one of those who could be facing a four game suspension. With the prospect of Deuce missing time, running back Pierre Thomas could inherit a golden opportunity to play a larger role in the Saints ground game. This past Sunday against the Chiefs, Thomas had the hot hand and took advantage of the situation rushing for 88 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown. Even with Bush expected to return soon, Thomas could be a dark horse down the stretch and offer value as a RB3 or flex option.

Week 11 was not much of a return performance for the Bronco's newly signed running back Tatum Bell. The former Lion did get in the game, but was limited to just 7 carries. Bell was not particularly flashy or exciting, but did appear decisive hitting holes on his way to 34 yards on the ground. As he works himself back into shape, it's not such a long shot to think Bell could win the starting job from running back Peyton Hillis. Hillis is a full back by nature and Bell is familiar with the offense. When the Bronco's have tried to run this season, they have had success averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Until running back Selvin Young gets healthy Bell gives the ground game its' best chance to continue success. Owners can expect the Bronco's to give Bell the opportunity and he could very well be a nice dark horse to consider in the coming weeks.

Now that he's finally looking healthy and playing again, it could be just a matter of time before Seahawks receiver Deion Branch starts clicking with his quarterback. Branch started this past Sunday catching 4 passes for 54 yards and finished the game with no incidents or setbacks. After being sidelined for such an extended time, he has likely spent most of this season residing on waiver wires or fantasy roster benches. It could be time for fantasy owners to dust off the former Patriot's receiver off and consider him a dark horse that could be ready to run.

He's certainly no sleeper, but coming off knee surgery last season and the slow start he has had this season, Colt's receiver Marvin Harrison has fallen out of charm with fantasy owners in general. In Week 11 "Marvelous" Marvin had one of his best games this season, but it is more than likely fantasy owners did not reap the benefits, but rather had him on their bench. With Peyton starting look like Manning-of-old and Harrison's performance this past Sunday, owners may want to consider having Marvin in the line up down the stretch. He could be the dark horse owners need to get over the top.

Heading for the Sideline......

An obvious choice to send to the sideline this week has to be the Saints running back Deuce McAllister, who's immediate future appears to be in doubt. With the NFL set to hear appeals regarding the leagues steroids use violations, McAllister is one of several players looking at a possible four game suspension. The word is once the appeals have been heard this Tuesday, a ruling could come down within 10-14 days. Its likely that McAllister will be available to play Sunday in Week 12, but he could lose touches to Pierre Thomas who has been running well and to Reggie Bush who could return this week.

The Saints have another player fantasy owners should consider turning loose. With Marques Colston back in the line up and Reggie Bush nearing return, there just may not be enough balls to share for wide receiver Robert Meachum. The Saints wideout did not see any action on Sunday and with the team's receiving position filled with healthy playmakers like Colston, Henderson, and Shockey, Meachum has become the odd man out.

In Tampa Bay, it looks like wide receiver Joey Galloway's run as a playmaking deep threat could be coming to a close. Galloway did not see any balls in his direction on Sunday as he was held without a catch. Galloway has only 4 receptions in three games since coming back from a foot injury. With the emergence of Antonio Bryant as the team's go-to receiver it could be time for fantasy owners to cut loose some dead weight.

Now over in Carolina, the team's passing game situation has become a tough sell for fantasy owners. With Delhomme's inconsistent play the past couple of weeks and the team's ground game running loose in Week 11, there haven't been too many appealing options to consider. While we don't expect Delhomme's slump to continue much longer, fantasy owners that may have been waiting on wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett to step up, should not hold their breath. Jarrett was a healthy scratch in Week 11 and appears to have fallen behind DJ Hackett for the number 3 spot. It's not likely that Jarrett is occupying too many roster spots these days, but just the same he should not be owned. the time to cut losses is way overdue and your roster spot should be used for more appealing options.

Power Rankings

How they rank...

1. Tennessee Titans (10-0-0)....the Titan's are using the arm of Kerry Collins to keep their perfect season in tact. Over the past two weeks Collins has passed for nearly 600 yards while throwing 5 touchdowns. With the Jets 4th ranked run defense up next, the Titans make have to take to the air once again to make it to 11 straight.

2. New York Giants (9-1-0)....the Giants continue to do what they do best, run the ball. Against the leagues best run defense, the leagues top ranked ground game got the better on Sunday. The Giants ran the ball 33 times and rolled up 207 yards (6.3 yards per carry) on the ground coasting to a 30-10 win.

3. Carolina Panthers (8-2-0)....the Panthers are not sexy, but they are effective with a two-headed monster of their own. With a running game that features two durable backs, the Panthers have seized control of the South and heading toward a big Monday night showdown with Tampa Bay in Week 14.

4. Tampa Buccaneers (7-3-0)....the Buccaneers used a swarming defense in Week 11 to keep the leagues top rusher, Adrian Peterson in check. The Buc's defense stepped up and shut down the Viking's runner holding him to 8 runs for 3 yards or less, including 3 for negative yards. It's not pretty, but the Buc's just keep winning.

5. Dallas Cowboys (6-4-0)....inspired by the return of Romo, it was the defense that stepped up Sunday night and shut down the Redskins. The boys are loaded with talent on both sides, but they will need a better and more consistent effort from the passing game if they are to succeed in the future.

Rounding out the top 10...

6. New York Jets (7-3-0).....a stout defense and Thomas Jones has this team on the rise.
7. Arizona Cardinals (7-3-0)....led by Warner this team could pass its' way to the playoffs.
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3-0)....they still boast one of the league's toughest defenses.
9. Indianapolis Colts (6-4-0)....with Manning finding his form the Colts could make a run.
10. Washington Redskins (6-4-0)....the offense has scored just 16 point in last two games.

FSH: (NFL WEEK 12) THIS WEEK'S HEADLINES

November 17th, 2008 9:27pm PST

Week 12...
NFL Weekly Storylines

AFC

Titan's keep the ball rolling in Week 11.
The Titan's improved their overall record this season to 10-0 with a road win Sunday over the Jaguars. They will face the New York Jets next weekend in Week 12 of the schedule.
fantasy impact: Over the past two weekends, team's have focused on stopping the Titan's "Smash and Dash" ground attack. In those two games Collins has passed for 519 yards with 5 touchdowns. This could be the game plan for opposing defenses and wideouts Brandon Jones and Justin Gage could both become more prominent plays in fantasy down the stretch.

Bronco's defense finally wakes up in Week 11.
The Bronco's entered Sunday's affair with the Atlanta Falcons as one of the league's worst defenses. In Week 11 the defense limited the Falcon's ground game to a meager 110 yards on 36 carries (3.0 yards per carry).
fantasy impact: The Falcon's are certainly not one of the league's elite offenses, but they entered the game with one of the leagues best rushing attacks. The improved play on defense is not necessarily a sign of things to come, but it is a good sign for Denver, although in team defense formats the Broncos should still be avoided.

Colt's unleash offense in Week 11
Peyton Manning and company erupted for 33 points on Sunday and rolled up 474 yards of offense in their Week 11 win over Houston. Manning was spectacular passing for over 300 yards with two touchdown passes, while Addai had the ground game rolling with 105 yards on the day.
fantasy impact: If you own any of the Colt's skill players, this past Sunday was a nice preview of things to come. With a favorable second half schedule this offense could be picking the right time to start peaking for fantasy owners. While Manning, Wayne and Clark are must starts, Addai should be ready to join the club soon, but owners may want to show a little patience with Harrison who looks close.

Parker's shoulder looks okay in Sunday win.
The Steeler's running back played without any limitations or setbacks on Sunday carrying the ball 25 times for 115 yards on the ground. Parker's production on the ground was critical in the 4th quarter helping the team preserve its' Week 11 win.
fantasy impact: The Steeler's Fast-Willie-Parker was solid in week 11 and looks like his old self running again. Fantasy owners should count on having FWP in their line ups every Sunday until told otherwise.

LT total 100 yards as offense struggles.
The Charger's running back has only rushed for more than 100 yards in a game twice in 10 games this season. On Sunday LT was held to 57 yards on the ground, but did have 3 catches for 45 yards and added a rushing touchdown.
fantasy impact: The Charger's running back has not been his dynamic self this season, yet he still has been productive. In 10 games this season LT has 686 yards rushing and 294 yards receiving with 6 touchdowns. These are not normal LT numbers, but he's still an RB1 in most formats. With a favorable schedule coming up (Colts, Falcons, Raiders, and Chiefs) LT could get hot.

Johnson plays in Week 11.
The Chief's running back returned to the line up Sunday and played well for missing so much time. Johnson touched the ball 20 times and totaled 87 yards for the day.
fantasy impact: The Chief's running back looked solid running hard and playing in the new spread offense. He was a little off hitting the holes, but that could just be timing from missing action, something that playing more will heal. LJ has turned into somewhat of a sleeper having been a fantasy afterthought sitting on the sidelines the last several weeks. With a great fantasy schedule down the stretch, LJ could have some big games ahead.

NFC

Boldin and Fitzgerald have Cards flying.
The Cardinal's receiving book-ends were over-whelming on Sunday in the team's Week 11 win. Q and Fitz combined for 23 receptions and 337 receiving yards. The two single handedly dismantled the Seahawks secondary. Has there ever been a more awesome display?
fantasy impact: By now the entire fantasy world knows these two belong in your line up every week including next year. With Warner under center, this team is going to pass its way to the playoffs and these two are going to be fantasy Beasts. There's little doubt about their skills and talents, the only question one might ask, which of these two is the better receiver?

Portis starts for Redskins in Week 11
The Redskins running back played Sunday night against the Cowboys, but was not quite the impact fans have been used to seeing. Portis carried the ball just 15 times and gained only 68 yards for the night.
fantasy impact: The Redskins running back did not look as effective as he has been and his health going forward could be a concern. Portis did run hard, but he was not as shifty or swift on his feet and did not run with the same power we have seen. Fantasy owners will need his knee to get better, before he can return to the fantasy stud he was in the early going this season.

Grant has big day in big win at Lambeau.
The Packer's running back broke loose on Sunday against the Bear's tough run defense. Grant carried the ball 25 times and rushed for 145 yards with a touchdown in the team's Week 11 win. It was just the second time this season Grant has rushed for over 100 yards.
fantasy impact: With an impressive run in Week 11, Grant could be playing with a new confidence and with some nice matchups coming up (Saints week 12, Texans week 14) Grant could be a solid play going into the fantasy playoffs.

Buc's keep the Caddi parked over the weekend
The Buccaneer's running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams returned to practice this past week, but is still not quite ready to see action. With the recent injury to RB Earnest Graham (ankle) on Sunday, that all could change in a hurry.
fantasy impact: The word was Williams was still weeks away from returning to action, but with Graham done for the year his rehab could be put into rush mode. Graham suffered an ankle injury and is speculated at the very least to miss some significant time. For now the team will likely roll with Warrick Dunn, but if Graham is done for the year, the Buc's could be starting up the Caddi very soon.

Panthers running game in high gear.
The Panthers had their ground assault on high alert in Week 11. Their dynamic duo of Williams and Stewart combined for 250 yards on the ground and three touchdowns in the team's win on Sunday over the Lions.
fantasy impact: Unfortunately for Fantasy owners the Panthers do not play the Lions 16 times this season. Sunday the Panthers ground game made Swiss cheese of the Lions defense with both Williams and Stewart going over the century mark. Both backs will continue to be a time-share with Williams the better risk of the two, but owners shouldn't hesitate to start Stewart as a decent flex option.

Earth, Wind, and Fire perform big show in Week 11.
The Giant's unleashed the four winds of the earth and their three-headed monster rushing attack on the Raven's defense in Week 11. The result was 207 yards rushing and a 30-10 victory.
fantasy impact: Unfortunately for fantasy owners games are not 8 quarters instead of 4. With these three, if given enough playing time they are all fantasy studs. With limited touches, this three-headed monster is not so scary in the fantasy world. Only Jacobs remains the weekly play with both Ward and Bradshaw being a hit and miss start. Fantasy owners should only consider Wind and Fire as a handcuff to Jacobs, except in much deeper leagues where they can offer some value.
