FSH NOTEBOOK: FF WEEK 5 SITS

October 7th, 2023

Fantasy Football Week 5
Sit’Ems

There is a lot to navigate in week 5 with a lot of notable injuries to work around, but just as important as knowing who to insert into your lineup, you have to know who to avoid and sit. Injuries play a part, just as much as matchups when making the start/sit decision.

These are your Week 5 notable injuries;

Jimmy Garappolo (concussion) P
Joe Burrow (calf) Q
Derek Carr (shoulder) Q
Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) D
Javonte Williams (quad) Q
Aaron Jones (hamstring) Q
Saquon Barkley (ankle) Q
Davante Adams (shoulder) Q
Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) D
Tee Higgins (ribs) O
Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) O

These are my Week 5 notable sits.

Joe Burrow (Bengals)
- We’ve now had a four week sample size of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. He has not looked sharp and the offense has struggled. While it is understandable, Burrow has been dealing with a calf injury, this fantasy owner is growing impatient with the dismal production.

Burrow still has his big play weapon in Ja’Marr Chase available, but after four weeks with little to show, it is probably best for now to move Joe Cool to your bench. We’ll need to see better play from Joe Cool and good health before we can trust him. Sit Burrow.

Najee Harris (Steelers)
- Just like Burrow, the Steelers running back Najee Harris has not been productive through the first four weeks and this fantasy owner is getting restless. His week 5 matchup against the Ravens does not look any better and chances are it will be more of the same.

The Ravens defense is ranked 13th against the run, have allowed the 12th fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs, and have yet to surrender a rushing touchdown this season. At this juncture it would be wise to move Harris to your bench until we see better offensive line play and production from the Steelers offense. Sit Harris for week 5.

The Patriots receivers
- If you are looking for help at the wide receiver spot for Week 5, you should probably avoid the New England receivers. Other than Kendrick Bourne’s big week one when he scored twice, only one other Patriot receiver has topped double digit fantasy points and that was DeVante Parker with 11.6 (ppr).

The passing game has been inconsistent and unreliable paired with poor play from the QB position. Until Belichick and company can get this rectified, all Patriots receivers should be avoided. Fantasy owners should just move along. Sit the Patriots.

Kyle Pitts (Falcons)
- There is no question that the Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has talent and ability, but it is just not showing up on the field. Through four weeks, Pitts has yet to score in double digit fantasy points.

Through four games Pitts is actually the second leading receiver at the tight end position for the Falcons. He has been targeted 21 times, has caught 11 passes for 121 yards receiving, averaging less than 6 fantasy points per game in ppr format. Pitts has ability and skill, but fantasy owners are just not seeing it on the field, so for the time being leave Pitts on your bench until we see improved numbers.

If you are going to own a Falcons tight end, Jonnu Smith is the tight end to own. Sit Pitts.

That's my take!

Fantasy Football Week 5
Start’Ems

We are now getting into the “Bye Weeks” of the NFL season and fantasy owners are now going to have to navigate with key players on bye and look to the waiver wire and free agent market to fill out their lineups. There are several key injuries this week that are going to impact many lineups; in Detroit wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown likely sits, Joe Burrow’s calf injury has fantasy owners weighing their choices this week, and in addition to St. Brown the Lions will likely be without their rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring).

Other notable week 5 injuries;

Jimmy Garappolo (concussion) P
Joe Burrow (calf) Q
Derek Carr (shoulder) Q
Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) D
Javonte Williams (quad) Q
Aaron Jones (hamstring) Q
Saquon Barkley (ankle) Q
Davante Adams (shoulder) Q
Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) D
Tee Higgins (ribs) O
Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) O

My week 5 Starts

While fantasy owners will likely be moving the listed players to their bench, these are a handful of Starts that should be in play for Week 5.

CJ Stroud (Texans)
- The rookie quarterback is healthy and looks great thru the first four weeks. Stroud has entered the starting fantasy QB conversation with his four week numbers; 1,212 yards passing (5th), 6 passing touchdowns (5th), and 110.65 passer rating (9th). He’s been sharp, consistent, and exciting to watch. With wins over Jacksonville and Pittsburgh in this early season, Stroud has the Texans playing good football at the moment.

Stroud is currently the fantasy QB12. My projections for him this week are weighed more on how he’s been playing, rather than who he is facing. The Falcons have been a bit stingy this season versus opposing quarterbacks, but from what I’ve seen so far in the early part of this season, the Texans offense may be the biggest test for them thus far. Stroud has just been solid and he’s got some great weapons to work with in Nico Collins, Robert Woods, Tank Dell, and Dalton Schultz.

If the Texans can get any semblance of a running game going this week, Stroud could be in for a big day off the play-action and hit a couple of deep shots. He’s a start for me this week.

De’Von Achane (Dolphins)
- The rookie running back has been quite special the past couple of weeks. Like all big dawgs, you just gotta keep feeding him. Achane’s 2023 start was slowed with an injury that kept him sidelined in week one and limited to 6 snaps in week 2. Once they turned him loose in week 3, he was gone.

Achane has seen snapcounts of 30 (41%)  in week 3 and 39 (60%) in week 4,  and his numbers have been prolific. The rookie has toted the rock 26 times for 304 yards the past two weeks and his 309 total rushing yards leads the AFC. The critical stat to pay close attention to is his 60% snapcount share in week 4. Teammate Raheem Mostert fumbled twice, which contributed to Achane’s extended time on the field, but it is his talent that will keep him there.

This week’s matchup with the Giants is just way too sweet to avoid. Achane has to be in seasonal lineups as well as DFS. The Giants defense is ranked 29th versus the run and surrenders well over 4 yards per carry. I expect to see Achane getting in the action early and often and doing lots of damage. He’s a week 5 must-start for me. Start Achane.

Marquise Brown (Cardinals)
- The Cardinals wide receiver is an interesting play for week 5. Quietly he is currently the fantasy WR22 with 21 receptions and 239 receiving yards to lead his team. He also has two receiving touchdowns.

Over his last three games played, “Hollywood” is averaging 9 targets, six receptions, and 70 receiving yards per game, which include his two touchdowns. During this stretch his numbers are a borderline WR-1/WR2.

While he does have what could be considered a tough matchup this week, Brown and his quarterback have been playing well over the past several weeks. With a home tilt on the slate for week 5, I feel good about his chances to put up good numbers once again. Hollywood should be in lineups and a good DFS value play. Start Hollywood.

Sam LaPorta (Lions)
- The Lions rookie tight end has been spectacular this season. Through the first four weeks he is fantasy TE4, tied with the Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson. His 242 yards receiving leads all tight ends in the NFL and his 22 receptions ranks third.

LaPorta has an interesting matchup this week against the Panthers. Their defense does a decent job against opposing tight ends, but they have yet to face a tight end with LaPorta’s production level. With the exception of Hockenson, who the Panthers held in check last week.

With a depleted receiving corps in Detroit this week, I am expecting to see an even more involved LaPorta (27 targets this season - ranks 5th). Through the first four weeks Sammy has been good, he could be even better in week 5. Start Sam LaPorta in week 5.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: FRIDAY'S FANTASY FIXX

October 6th, 2023
David’s Daily
Friday Evening Edition

Friday’s Fantasy Fixx

(Week 5: Best Matchups/Plays)

With the start of Week 5 on Thursday night, the 2023 season is moving right along as we enter the “Bye Weeks.” With some players not being available due to their bye, it will be key for owners to stay on top of current trends and matchups.

Some of the notable matchups in play this week will include the Eagles traveling to Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles to face the Rams in what could be a shootout. The Texans quarterback CJ Stroud will take his hot hand on the road this week to Atlanta. And in London the Jaguars will look to defend their overseas territory against Josh Allen and the streaking Bills.

It’s just another fun week in the world of fantasy football with several games offering some key matchups that should benefit fantasy owners in week 5.

Here are the plays I like this weekend.

QB-Anthony Richardson (Colts)
- Time to jump on this bandwagon here. Richardson has been fantastic in this early season, currently the fantasy QB2, and now he could be getting back possibly the team’s best weapon (besides himself) in running back Jonathan Taylor. Richardson is poised for a big day against the Titans.

RB-Dameon Pierce (Texans)
- After their demolishing of the Steelers in week 4, the Texans offense appears to be firing on all cylinders. Pierce ran hard in week 4, accumulating 24 carries for the afternoon. With the passing game starting to blossom, Pierce should find some open running lanes in Week 5 against the Falcons.

RB-De’Von Achane (Dolphins)
- You’ve gotta roll the dice with the hot hand here. Achane has been explosive averaging over 10 yards a tilt on the ground over the past two games. Even if Mostert starts the game, there’s no keeping this kid off the field. The Giants are in town (ranked 29th versus the run) and a chance for Achane to keep rolling along.

WR-DeVonta Smith (Eagles)
- The Eagles wide receiver has kind of been the quiet man in recent weeks with his fellow teammate AJ Brown dominating. Smith’s numbers have been overshadowed a bit by the great play of Brown, but he’s still the fantasy WR15 entering week 5. The over/under in this week’s matchup is hovering around 50-points and I like the over. I think Smith is due for a big game and this week is as good as any.

WR-Calvin Ridley (Jaguars)
- This is purely a gut call here. Ridley has been just off the past couple of weeks, but the good news, he’s not forgotten. Ridley started the season with the hot hand, 19 targets in his first two games, but it’s been quite the opposite since with just 9 targets in his last two. There’s too much talent here to stay quiet. It’s a tough matchup against the Bills in London, but Ridley and the Jaguars will be well rested.

TE-Tyler Higbee (Rams)
- Over the past two weeks the Rams tight end has been consistent averaging 5 catches for 67.5 yards receiving, good enough for the fantasy TE6 slot. With the Eagles coming to town, Higbee will have the opportunity to continue his steady play against a defense that allows the 4th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

FLX-Breece Hall (Jets)
- It’s hard to imagine Head Coach Robert Saleh not featuring running back Breece Hall this week on the road against the Broncos defense. The Jets HC announced Hall would not be on a pitch count any longer and this week they got the Broncos, one of the worst defenses in the league. If there ever was a time to unleash the second year running back, that time is now.

These players may already be locked into your lineup and they may not, but if they are sitting on your bench and you are facing a start’em dilemma consider these plays for Week 5. I guarantee nothing and offer even less, these are just my best guesses about their respective week 5 matchups and outcomes for this weekend.

Strong plays to consider for DFS as well.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: THURSDAY NIGHT MATCHUP

October 5th, 2023
David’s Daily Digest
Thursday Afternoon Edition

Thursday Night Matchup: DFS Faves

It may not be one of the marquee matchups of the NFL Thursday Night lineup, but this meeting between the Bears and Commanders will carry a bit of fantasy cache for owners. There are still plenty of fantasy favorites involved in this one and there is just enough lack of defense for this to be interesting.

The Commanders up front on the defensive side and going to have their hands full trying to contain the Bears quarterback Justin Fields. On the other side, after seeing how the Broncos were able to pass on the Bears secondary last week, the Commanders receivers could find great success.

Neither defense has been stellar this season against the run, the Bears are ranked 18th while the Commanders are ranked 21st. While the Bears are ranked 8th in yards per carry average, the Commanders have struggled here ranked 26th, allowing 4.5 yards per carry. The Commanders backfield may struggle to find holes in the ground attack, but Khalil Herbert and company could enjoy a little running room.

With all of these keys to consider, here are the Five I will drive with, on Thursday Night,.

Thursday's Take Five;

1. Sam Howell (QB) - The Commanders quarterback is coming off strong showing last week against a pretty good Eagles defense and should be able to enjoy similar success tonight against the Bears 27th ranked pass defense. Howell has been a borderline QB-1 (12-team formats) in three of his four starts this season. The Bears allow the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, so the prospect of number four tonight looks good.

2. Terry McLaurin (WR) - Although his numbers may be slightly down through four weeks, the Commanders receiver is still one of the league’s best. Opposing receivers have had success finding the endzone against the Bears defense. McLaurin leads the team with 26 targets and 21 receptions (an 80.8% success rate). He’ll be featured tonight and should have success. (DK-My Captain)

3. Commanders (DST) - The Commanders defense is pretty good, but they have not played all that well this season. While the Bears offense is coming off a strong showing against the Broncos last week, it was the Broncos defense. The Commanders are in the top 3rd with 13 sacks, 29 QB hits, and 84 completions allowed this season and could give Fields trouble in the pocket. The defense also ranks 1st this season with 27 tackles for loss.

4. Justin Fields (QB) - It sounds like it could be a long day for Fields, but it just might be the opposite. With the troubles the Bears could have throwing the ball, look for Fields to exploit the defense with his legs. The Commanders have surrendered the third most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks. Expect Fields to do some damage on the ground and possibly visit the end zone.

5. Cole Kmet (TE) - The Bears tight end is tied for the team lead with 24 targets. He is easily one of Fields' favorites and dependable targets. He’s coming off a big game last week where he scored twice against the Broncos and some of that momentum could carry into tonight. I like Cole to find pay dirt in this one.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: THE WEDNESDAY WATERCOOLER

October 4th, 2023
David’s Daily Digest
Wednesday Evening Edition

The Wednesday Watercooler

Targets Equal Opportunities

It’s the same ol situation here. Luck has its role, skill plays its part, but every fantasy owner needs their players to perform to have success. And all successes start with each player having a chance. The more chances your players have, the greater opportunity for success.

Your players can’t perform if they don’t have the ball and they can’t score fantasy points if they don’t have a chance. Here’s this week's list of players with the most chances, targets, and touches.

Here are the weekly leaders for Receiving Targets;

Week 4
Top 10 WR
1. Garrett Wilson (14)
2. AJ Brown (13)
3. Romeo Doubs (13)
4. Davante Adams (13)
5. Christian Kirk (12)
6. Chris Godwin (11)
7. Puka Nacua (10)
8. Terry McLaurin (10)
9. Marquise Brown (10)
10. Terrace Marshall Jr (10)

The Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is easily one of the heaviest targeted receivers over the past several seasons, and through the first four weeks of this season it’s business as usual. As a result with his 50 targets (2nd in the NFL), Adams is currently the fantasy WR6 with 33 receptions, 397 yards receiving, and three touchdowns.

Top 10 TE
1. Tyler Higbee (11)
2. Zach Ertz (10)
3. Cole Kmet (9)
4. Travis Kelce (9)
5. Evan Engram (8)
6. Jake Ferguson (7)
7. David Njoku (7)
8. Jonnu Smith (6)
9. Tyler Conklin (6)
10. Mark Andrews (5) - tied with four others

After missing week one, the Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has 26 targets in three games to lead all tight ends during this span. For the season his 17 receptions is tied for sixth among tight ends and his 155 yards receiving rank 10th. On the year he is the fantasy TE2.

Top 10 RB
1. Alvin Kamara (14)
2. Josh Jacobs (11)
3. Christian McCaffrey (8)
4. Jaylen Warren (6)
5. Jerome Ford (6)
6. De’Von Achane (5)
7. Khalil Herbert (5)
8. Bijan Robinson (5)
9. Matt Breida (5)
10. Jahmyr Gibbs (5) tied with one more player

With his 11 targets in week 4, the Raiders running back Josh Jacobs turned in a day worthy of the fantasy RB3 slot. Jacobs caught 8 passes for 81 yards and also rushed for 58 yards on 17 carries, adding a rushing touchdown. After a slow start this season, Jacobs is now the fantasy RB17 and trending in the right direction.

Touches Are Fantasy Gold

Just like a receiver needs to be targeted, a running backs success leans heavily on how many times they touch (carries + catches) the rock.

Here are the weekly Touch leaders;

Week 4
Top 10 RB
1. David Montgomery (34)
2. Kyren Williams (28)
3. Christian McCaffrey (27)
4. Dameon Pierce (25)
5. Josh Jacobs (25)
6. Alvin Kamara (24)
7. Isaiah Pacheco (23)
8. Travis Etienne Jr (23)
9. Khalil Herbert (22)
10. Derrick Henry (23)

Through four weeks the Lions running back David Montgomery has totaled 69 rushing attempts (ranks tied for 4th) and his 72 total touches is tied for 9th. His workload this season has him at the fantasy RB7 slot. He’s a must-start every week and not going away anytime soon.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: THE WAIVER WIRE

October 3rd, 2023
David’s Daily Digest
Tuesday Late-Evening Edition

The Waiver Wire

The fantasy football season is a long and arduous trek with plenty of peaks and valleys throughout. The best owners can hope for is that the valley doesn’t run too deep and that they peak at the right time.

One of the best methods for team improvement is the weekly ritual of working the Waiver Wire. Every week fantasy owners are looking for way to improve their team and looking for that diamond in the rough to turn their season around.

Here are this week’s diamonds.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Options

QB, CJ Stroud (Texans) - It may seem a bit premature to go all-in on Texans quarterback CJ Stroud, but he is putting up one heckuva argument to do so. For the season Stroud has been the fantasy QB11 and over the past three weeks he has more passing yards (970) than any other quarterback with six touchdowns and no picks. It may be risky to insert him as your every week starter, but few quarterbacks are playing as well as Stroud; he needs to be owned.

QB, Joshua Dobbs (Cardinals) - Over the past two weeks, Dobbs has been an effective starter posting solid fantasy numbers; 454 yards passing and three touchdowns. He’s been the fantasy QB10 his last two starts and can be considered a possible streaming option during the bye weeks that start in week 5.

RB, Jaleel McLaughlin (Broncos) - The Broncos starter Javonte Williams exited the team’s week 4 game, but is not expected to miss much, if any time. That being the cash, his departure opened the door for rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin. He showed plenty of flash in the ground and air attack, totaling over 100 yards. It’s hard to determine what his usage will be going forward, but he’s definitely stash/(cuff) worthy and flex consideration.

RB, Jaylen Warren (Steelers) - The Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has been steady playing behind starter Najee Harris, but over the past three weeks he has been the more productive back. Warren has 78 yards rushing to Harris’ 179, but he also has 13 receptions for 115 yards receiving (to Najee’s 2 for 32). In a ppr format, Warren is a borderline RB2/RB3, so he’s definitely in the flex conversation

WR, Tyler Boyd (Bengals) - With starter Tee Higgens expected to miss time, Boyd steps up into a starting role and needs to be picked up. Over the past three weeks he has averaged 8 targets per game, with Higgins out his workload will increase.

WR, Michael Wilson (Cardinals) - Over the past two weeks the Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has been targeted 10 times and caught 9 passes for 162 yards receiving with two touchdowns. He has been the fantasy WR13. He’s a worthy add this week with flex appeal.

Watchlist
These are some names fantasy owners should have on their watchlist for possible pickups in the near future, Chubba Hubbard (Panthers), Melvin Gordon III (Ravens), Allen Lazard (Jets), Darnell Mooney (Bears), and Curtis Samuel (Commanders). Keep an eye on their production and usage in the coming week or two.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: FF SOMETHING WORTH NOTING

October 3rd, 2023
David’s Daily Digest
Tuesday Evening Edition

Fantasy Football: Something Worth Noting

With week 4 in the books, a quick look back at what transpired might offer some hints as to what is to come and what could be. I don’t have a crystal ball nor am I able to read any tea leaves, but after watching the games on NFL Sunday week 4, I can offer some observations to consider moving forward.

Raheem Mostert fumbles twice
It’s interesting to note the two fumbles, considering the rookie De’Von Achane’s star is not only on the rise, but it is a fireball barreling towards earth. Achane has been an explosive and dominant runner. Achane has been a part of the rotation the past two weeks and has totaled 304 yards rushing; his season total of 309 yards leads the AFC. He has been the dynamite in the Dolphins backfield, with the loudest bang. I am not a betting man, but I would be willing to wager that week 5, it will be Achane getting some early work and dominating the usage on the ground.

McLaughlin effective on Sunday
For the Broncos, not a lot has been going right for them this season, but they did squeak out a win in week 4. And although their starting running back Javonte Williams exited the game with a hip injury, the Broncos found a silver lining in rookie Jaleel McLaughlin. The rookie runner finished the week as the fantasy RB10, registering 104 yards of offense, averaging over 10-yards per touch. He was more than an effective fill-in, and after playing as well as he did McLaughlin has likely worked himself into a fixed role in the offense, and even greater should Williams miss any time. He’ll be hot pick up off the Waiver wire this week.

Jones on pitch count
Last week Packers running back Aaron Jones was obviously on a pitch count playing in just 20 snaps (35.1% of the available snaps). His appearance last week was a disaster for fantasy owners that were not aware of the snap count limitation. Jones totaled just 14 yards with one reception for the evening. Fantasy owners will need to see him back as a full participant in practice before they can trust him on Sunday. Since the Packers played on Thursday, Jones will have a few extra days to continue to heal up and return closer to 100%.

Cam Akers runs well in cameo appearance
There wasn’t much to note in the Vikings matchup with Carolina on Sunday. A non-prolific day for Cousins and the passing game, but of course even when Kirk struggles, Justin Jefferson still has a JJ Fantasy day. In the backfield however, it is worth noting one of the newest Vikings, running back Cam Akers, did see the field. Akers was on the field for 14 snaps and was featured in half with 7 touches, averaging over 7 yards per touch. It’s too early to make much of this, especially since starting running back Alexander Mattison had another solid outing. For now Akers is worth stashing as a cuff to Alexander.

Jonnu is more productive
The Falcons tight end Jonnu Smith (20 targets in 2023) has been a fantasy surprise this season. While he pitched a donut in week one, he has been a Top-10 fantasy tight end since, overshadowing his teammate Kyle Pitts (21 targets in 2023). Over the past three weeks, Smith has caught 15 passes (ranks tied for 3rd most among tight ends) and registered 179 receiving yards (ranks 3rd most). During this span Smith has been the fantasy TE8, while Pitts is fantasy 29. For the season Smith has more receptions and yards receiving (than Pitts) and should be the tight end owned in fantasy.

Olave just one catch on Sunday
The Saints offense just looked bad on Sunday and it was apparent that quarterback Derek Carr was not quite right. As a result wide receiver Chris Olave was a non-factor in week 4, being targeted six times and recording a single catch for 4 yards. Fantasy owners can’t afford to sit Olave (just too much talent and ceiling there), so they need to check the practice reports on Carr this week. He needs to be healthy before they can expect Olave to return to his rightful place among fantasy starters.

That's my take!

FSH NOTEBOOK: SUNDAY HEROES WEEK 4

October 2nd, 2023
David’s Daily Digest
Monday Afternoon Edition

NFL Sunday Week 4:
Sunday’s Heroes

Another wild weekend in the NFL. 70 points weren’t scored in any games this weekend, but there were plenty of close games, fantastic finishes, Overtime thrillers, and one team returning back to earth.

As is the case in the NFL every weekend there are performances to remember. In Buffalo there were the five touchdowns by Josh Allen (4 pass, 1 run), in Tennessee the return of King Henry (122 yards rushing and a touchdown), and in Indianapolis the Legend of Puka continues (9 receptions, 163 yards receiving, and a touchdown). NFL Sunday Week 4 was just another great day filled with great performances by some great players.

These are just some of those NFL Week 4 Sunday Heroes.

QB, Anthony Richardson (Colts) - In week 4 Richardson was special. He led the Colts back from a 23-point deficit and did it with both his arm and legs. Richardson passed for 200 yards and threw two touchdowns in the comeback, while rushing for 56 yards and scored another touchdown. For the second time this season he has finished as a Top-5 fantasy quarterback, in week 4 he finished the day as the fantasy QB2. There’s some risk of injury with Richardson that we’ve seen this season, but he’s entered the must-start conversation with his leg production.

RB, Kyren Williams (Rams) - The Rams running back was the fantasy RB3 on Sunday, posting Top-10 fantasy numbers for the third time in four games. Against the Colts Williams rushed for 103 yards, added two rushing touchdowns, while catching three passes for another 24 yards receiving. His 28 touches (25 carries and three receptions) were his highest total for the season. We’ve seen enough from Williams this season, he’s the lead back in Los Angeles and a must-start.

WR, Nico Collins (Texans) - The Texans wide receiver rose from the week 3 ashes and had another solid performance on Sunday. Collins has been terrific much of the season and in Week 4 he did not disappoint, putting up Top-3 fantasy receiver numbers. The Texans wideout was targeted 9 times, recording 7 receptions for 168 yards receiving and two touchdowns. A bounce back performance for Nico and a definitive statement, he’s a WR-1, and should be in your lineup every week.

TE, Jonnu Smith (Falcons) - The Falcons other tight end Jonnu Smith has been surprisingly good for fantasy owners this season. On Sunday he connected with the Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder for 6 receptions, for 95 yards receiving, finishing the day as fantasy TE3. This season Smith has been targeted 20 times (one fewer than tight end Kyle Pitts) and has more receptions (15) and yards receiving (179) than teammate Pitts. Jonnu may be the tight end to start in Atlanta.

IDP-DL, Maxx Crosby (Raiders) - The Raiders pass rushing defensive end had an afternoon on Sunday week 4. Crosby was a disruptor all afternoon, recording 5 solo tackles, 3 assists, 2 sacks, 2 QB hits, and 2 tackles for loss. His engine had no quit.

IDP-LB, Kahlil Mack (Chargers) - The Chargers pass rush specialist was in full beast mode on Sunday terrorizing the Raiders rookie quarterback Aiden O’Connell. Mack sacked the quarterback six times and added 8 solo tackles, 2 assists, 5 tackles for loss, 4 QB hits, 1 pass defense and 2 forced fumbles. He was a complete terror on Sunday.

IDP-DB, Antoine Winfield Jr (Buccaneers) - The Buccaneers defensive back was big on the day, causing mischief and raising havoc on the field. Winfield was busy on the afternoon recording 6 solo tackles, 3 assists, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 QB hit, 1 pass defense, 1 forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
