Week 11...
SUNDAY'S HEROES

With the conclusion of the Sunday night's game between the Cowboys and Redskins, it's time to review who the notables were today and forget those that let us down yet again. With the fantasy season entering it's final quarter and the playoffs just around the corner (Week 14 & 15 in most formats), every week we are counting on our best players to deliver their best performances. With every point crucial to securing that ever so important victory, fantasy owners are looking for their stud players to step up and be a Sunday Hero.

Here are this week's fantasy Studs!

The Fantasy Spotlight (notable mentions) for Week 11....

  • The Bronco's fullback turned running back Peyton Hillis was a solid fill-in for the offense rushing for 44 yards and scoring two rushing touchdowns. Hillis also added 3 catches for 26 yards.
  • The Patriot's wide receiver Jabar Gaffney was solid in the Week 11 catching 7 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown in the team's Thursday night loss to the Jets.
  • The Falcon's running back Michael Turner did not have big numbers rushing, but he did gain 81 yards on the ground on 25 carries. Turner also added 2 rushing touchdown lifting his season total to 9.
  • The Chief's wide receiver Dwayne Bowe remains a solid fantasy play. In Week 11 against the Saints the wideout grabbed 7 passes for 53 yards and scored one receiving touchdown. Bowe now has 55 receptions for the year.
  • The Saints running back Pierre Thomas was featured a bit more this past Sunday and he took advantage of the opportunity. Thomas ran for 88 yards with a score and added 4 receptions for another 56 yards.
  • The Niner's quarterback Shaun Hill was a solid fantasy start in Week 11. Hill completed 15 of 20 passes for 213 yards and toss two touchdowns. He also added a rushing score in the team's Week 11 win.

Another Sunday and another week in the NFL, here are your week 11 "Sunday's Heroes!"

AFC / NFC

300-PASSING CLUB

QB-Matt Cassel (NE).....the Patriots quarterback came up big Thursday night passing for 400 yards and completing 30 of 51 passes. Cassel also threw three touchdowns and finished with a passer rating of 103.4 in the losing effort.


QB-Kurt Warner (Ari).....the Cardinal's quarterback was pin-point accurate in the team's Week 11 win over the Seahawks. Warner completed 32 of 44 passes for 395 yards with a touchdown.

QB-Donovan McNabb (Phi).....the Eagles quarterback struggled in Week 11 with three picks, but did throw for 339 yards. McNabb completed 28 of 58 passes and tossed one passing score in the team's Week 11 tie with the Bengals.

QB-Peyton Manning (Ind).....the Colt's quarterback was sharp in the team's Week 11 win over the Texans. Manning completed 30 of 46 passes for 320 yards and threw two touchdowns.


100-RUSHING CLUB

RB-Steve Slaton (Hou)....the Texan's rookie runner slashed his way through the Colt's defense in Week 11. Slaton carried the ball 14 times for 156 yards on the ground and scored one rushing touchdown.


RB-Ryan Grant (GB)....the Packers running back shredded the Bear's 4th ranked run defense in Week 11. Grant carried the ball 25 times and rushed for 145 yards and added one rushing score in the Packer's win on Sunday.

RB-Jonathan Stewart (Car)....the Panther's rookie runner galloped his way to big yardage on Sunday. Against the Lions 31st ranked run defense, Stewart carried the ball 15 times and gained 130 yards on the ground. The rookie also added one rushing touchdown.

RB-DeAngelo Williams (Car)....the Panther's second running back to make the club this week was solid with 120 yards rushing of his own. Williams also added two rushing touchdowns in the Week 11 win over the Lions.

RB-Willie Parker (Pit)....the Steeler's Fast-Willie-Parker proved that his shoulder is just fine carrying the ball 25 times in Week 11. Parker also gained 115 yards on the ground to help the Steeler's pull out a tight win over the Chargers.

RB-Marion Barber (Dal)....the Cowboys running back was a huge fantasy stud Sunday night leading the team to a big win. Barber carried the ball 24 times for 114 yards on the ground and scored one rushing touchdown.

RB-Kevin Smith (Det)....the Lions rookie running back was solid again as the starter in Week 11. Smith carried the ball 24 times for 112 yards rushing in the team's Week 11 loss to Carolina.

RB-Joseph Addai (Ind)....the Colt's running back bounced back big in Week 11. Addai carried the ball 22 times for 105 yards and

RB-Thomas Jones (NYJ)....the Jets running back continues to sizzle each week. In the early game this week, Jones carried the ball 30 times and rushed for 104 yards while adding a rushing touchdown.

RB-Ronnie Brown (Mia)....the Dolphin's running back was solid in the team's Week 11 win over the Raiders. Brown carried the ball 16 times for 101 rushing yards averaging 6.3 yards per carry.


100-RECEIVING CLUB

WR-Anquan Boldin (Ari)....one of the league's top receiver's added to his season stats with a big game on Sunday. Boldin was unstoppable catching 13 passes for 186 receiving yards in the Cardinal's Week 11 win over the Seahawks.




WR-Larry Fitzgerald (Ari)....the Cardinal's other talented wideout was a huge fantasy play on Sunday. Fitzgerald, not to be outdone by his counterpart hauled in 10 passes for 151 yards receiving on Sunday.

WR-TJ Houshmandzadeh (Cin)....the Bengal's receiver was in a groove with his quarterback on Sunday. Houshmandzadeh came up big in Week 11 with 12 receptions for 149 yards receiving and added a score.

WR-Justin Gage (Ten)....the Titan's receiver was solid in Week 11, catching 4 passes for 147 yards (36.8 yards per catch) and scored two touchdowns in the team's win over the Jaguars.

WR-Hines Ward (Pit)....the Steeler's reliable receiver was Mr.Clutch on Sunday making plays after plays. Ward pulled in 11 passes for 124 receiving yards to help lead his team to a big Week 11 win over the Chargers.

WR-Wes Welker (NE)....the Patriots top receiver continued to be a fantasy stud with 7 receptions for 108 receiving yards in the team's Thursday night loss to the Jets.

WR-Lance Moore (NO)....the Saints wide receiver came up big in Week 11 with 8 receptions for 102 receiving yards. Moore also added a reception touchdown in the team's win on Sunday.

WR-Roddy White (Atl)....the Falcon's top receiving option continues to put up the numbers finishing with 5 catches for 102 yards in the team's Week 11 loss to the Broncos.
