Week 10...
SUNDAY'S HEROES
Every Sunday we seem to meet at the same place and at the same time, but funny how we don't always see the same thing. From one week to the next, you never know what you're going to get when you watch the NFL. This season has been the year of the rookie running back with exceptional talent sprouting up in different cities each week; Tim Hightower in Arizona, Ray Rice in Baltimore, Jamaal Charles in Kansas City to name a few recent players to join the crowd.
For fantasy owners, this past weekend took a little twist with the tight-end being the fantasy play for the day. Three tight ends finished off the week with 10 receptions each, three finished with 2 touchdowns each, and 6 finished in the top 25 receiving for the day.
The Fantasy Spotlight (notable mentions)....
- The Raven's quarterback Joe Flacco just keeps getting better from one week to the next. On Sunday Flacco added two more touchdown passes while throwing for 185 yards in the team's Week 10 win.
- Surprisingly, the Ravens tight end Todd Heap was finally featured in the team's passing game and in particular in the red-zone. Heap finished the day with 5 receptions, but two of those went for scores in the team's win on Sunday.
- The Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was sharp passing for 240 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday leading his team to a big conference win over the Steelers.
- The Giant's tight end Kevin Boss scored a touchdown Sunday night in the team's Week 10 win. It was his third straight game with a receiving touchdown and he finished the night with 6 catches for 69 yards.
- The Jets rookie tight end Dustin Keller had a big day against the Rams on Sunday. Keller pulled in 6 passes for 107 yards and a score in the team's blowout win over the Rams.

AFC / NFC
300-PASSING CLUB
QB-Jay Cutler (Den).....the Broncos strong arm passes for a career high 447 yards completing 24 of 42 passes and throwing 3 touchdowns with one interception in the team's Thursday night win.
QB-Drew Brees (NO).....the Saints quarterback started slow on Sunday, but heated up to the tune of 422 passing yards in a loss to the Falcons. Brees completed 31 of 58 passes while throwing 2 touchdowns with his three picks.
QB-Phillip Rivers (SD).....the Chargers passer turned in another big Sunday completing 27 of 36 passes for 316 yards passing. Rivers also tossed two scores with two interceptions in the team's win at home.
100-RUSHING CLUB
RB-Adrian Peterson (Min)....the Vikings running back was huge in the team's Week 10 victory carrying the ball 30 times and rushing for 192 yards on the ground, 6.4 yards per carry for the afternoon and added a score.
RB-Thomas Jones (NYJ)....the Jets running back turned in a solid performance on Sunday finishing the team's Week 10 games with 26 carries, 149 yards rushing and three scores for the afternoon.
RB-DeAngelo Williams (Car)....the Panthers running back scampered his way to 140 yards rushing for the afternoon in the team's Week 10 victory over the Raiders. Williams also scored once.
RB-Brandon Jacobs (NYG)....the Giants bruising back battered the Eagles defense Sunday night 22 times for 126 yards rushing and added two touchdowns in the team's Week 10 win.
RB-Willis McGahee (Bal)....the Ravens runner was productive in Week 10 rushing for 112 yards on 25 carries. McGahee also added 2 rushing touchdowns in the team's win on Sunday.
RB-BenJarvous Green-Ellis (NE)....the Patriots rookie running back was solid in the team's Week 10 win. Green-Ellis ran the ball 26 times and gained 105 yards on the day and added a rushing touchdown.
RB-Ricky Williams (Mia)....the Dolphins running back was a big on Sunday carrying the ball just 12 times for 105 yards on the ground and scoring a rushing touchdown.
100-RECEIVING CLUB
WR-Eddie Royal (Den)....the Bronco's speedy rookie receiver was big Thursday night with 6 receptions for 164 receiving yards and a touchdown.
WR-Marques Colston (NO)....the Saint's big receiver broke out in Week 10 with 7 receptions for 140 receiving yards in the team's loss to the Falcons.
WR-Hines Ward (Pit)....the Steeler's veteran receiver was huge on Sunday with 9 receptions and 116 receiving yards in the team's loss to the Colts.
WR-Reggie Wayne (Ind)....the Colt's receiver came up big on Sunday with 6 receptions for 114 receiving yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 10 victory.
TE-Tony Gonzales (KC)....the Chief's All-Pro tight-end turned in his best game of the year finishing Sunday with 10 receptions for 113 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
TE-Kellen Winslow Jr (Cle).....the Brown's tight end had his best game of the season this past Thursday night grabbing 10 passes for 111 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
TE-Dustin Keller (NYJ).....the Jets rookie tight end had his best game as a professional catching 6 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
WR-Wes Welker (NE)....the Patriots receiver was fantastic on Sunday catching a total of 10 passes for 107 yards in the team's Week 10 win over the Bills.
