THE FANTASY "QUICK TAKE"

The Fantasy ER (Week 9).....

Week 9 Surprises....
Last Sunday's surprise were led by a field of rookies with a pair Raven's leading the way. Rookie RB Ray Rice was a last minute insert and he handled the spot-light better than good. Rice carried the ball 21 times and rushed for 154 yards averaging 7.3 yards per carry. The rookie QB Joe Flacco also did not disappoint last Sunday against the Browns. Flacco was efficient completing 17 of 29 passes (58% completion) while throwing for 248 yards (8.5 yards per pass) and tossing two touchdowns.

TE-Brent Celek (PHI)
The Eagles tight end replaced the inured LJ Smith (concussion) in Week 9 and came up big in the passing game. Celek pulled in 6 passes for the day and collected 131 receiving yards with a score to help lead the Eagles to their third straight win.

RB-Jamaal Charles (KC)
The Chiefs rookie running back was even the starter last week, but had to take over duties once running back Kolby Smith went down with a season ending knee injury. Last week against the Buccaneers, Charles carried the ball 18 times and ran for 106 yards (5.9 yards/ carry).

WR-Greg Camarillo (Mia)
The Dolphins leading receiver this season was a PPR monster in Week 9, grabbing 11 balls for the day in the team's big road win over Denver. Camarillo also finished the day with 111 receiving yards and now leads the team with 43 receptions.

RB-Cedric Benson (Cin)
Facing the Jaguars at home in Week 9, Benson helped to get one of the leagues worst rushing offenses rolling. Last Sunday Benson carried the ball 24 times and ran for a total of 104 yards. He also added a rushing score to lead the Bengals to their first win this season.

QB-Matt Ryan (Atl)
The Falcons quarterback has passed for 1,661 yards with 9 touchdowns this season and has a passer rating of 85.4.

QB-Joe Flacco
The Raven's quarterback has been playing much better over the past couple of weeks having thrown 4 touchdowns in his last three games with no picks.

Running Backs....
RB-Chris Johnson (Ten)
The Titans rookie runner leads all rookies with 715 yards on the ground and has scored 5 rushing touchdowns. Johnson has also caught 24 passes for 164 yards with a score.

RB-Matt Forte (Chi)
The Bears running back has rushed for 641 yards this season with 4 touchdowns, while catching 30 passes for 228 yards and adding another 2 touchdowns.

Wide Receivers....
WR-Eddie Royal (Den)
The Broncos rookie has 52 receptions with 625 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns this season in 9 games.

WR- DeSean Jackson (Phi)
The Eagles rookie wideout has 34 receptions with 525 receiving yards and a score this season.

Newest relevant Classmates to watch in Week 10...

  • The Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles will get the start in Week 10. Fantasy owners need to watch this kid who could run well this Sunday against the Chargers this Sunday.
  • The Niners rookie WR Josh Morgan will start on Monday night against the Cardinals. Before the season started there was talk about this kid, Monday he'll have a chance to start the chatter again.
