Sunday's Game Notes:

  • The Giants established themselves as the class of the NFC East on Sunday by easily dispatching the Cowboys 35-14. The G-men from New York had the look of Champions gaining a total of 200 yards on the ground, which included 2 rushing touchdowns. The Cowboys on the other hand looked dismal with continued poor play at the quarterback position. The Cowboy's starter, QB Brad Johnson only completed 5 passes and threw 2 interceptions, as compared to the Giants QB Eli Manning who was an effective 16 of 27 for 147 with 3 touchdown passes. While the Cowboys will spend the next week trying to rebound and regroup from this pummeling, the Giants will prepare for their next divisional showdown, next Sunday Night against the Eagles.
  • It was another disappointing performance on Sunday for the Bronco's defense. Last Sunday's blowout loss to the Patriots was tough to swallow, but this past Sunday's defeat to the Dolphin's may have been a bigger loss. Not only did the defense get burned by QB Chad Pennington for 280 yards, but they may have lost its' best player (LB-DJ Williams) for several weeks to injury. The win moved Miami back into the playoff picture, while the Broncos appear to be heading in the wrong direction losing 4 of its' last 5 games.
