EARTH-SHAKERS! PLAY-MAKERS!
GAME-BREAKERS!

***Quarterbacks***

Culpepper works out for Lions...
....although he did work out for the team, Culpepper did not immediately sign with the Lions. With Detroit in desperate need at the quarterback position, it could be a matter of time before he is signed, but it's not recommended that anyone run out and grab Culpepper.

Warner could sign extension with Cards....
....Warner has been playing at the level of a QB1 this season, but at 37 it would be hard to imagine he could sustain this level of play for another couple of years. For owners in Dynasty leagues, if Warner is signed it could mean Leinart's time will have to wait just a little longer.

***Running backs***

Torain healthy in Denver...
....even though running back Ryan Torain has been out all season, he could be the only healthy running back left in Denver. With Pittman (ribs), Young (Groin), and Hall (wrist) banged up it would appear Torain could see extensive action this Sunday.

Bennett could be active in Tampa...
....with the Buc's running back Warrick Dunn slowed up with a pinch nerve in his neck, RB Michael Bennett could be active this Sunday if Dunn misses as expected.

Jordan back to practicing...
....the Pat's running back LaMont Jordan has resumed practicing. It looks like Faulk will start, but if healthy Jordan could get the nod before Green-Ellis. Owners shouldn't take a shot on Jordan this week, but keep you eye on him as a possible flier or flex for week 10.

McFadden wearing boot...
....the Raiders running back was seen wearing a boot on his injured foot, but this week it was the other foot. McFadden had his 15-min of fame back in Week 2, but since has been a disappointment. Owners who took a shot on the kid, could be shooting their own foot.

James could be losing job soon...
....as many owners have been noticing, Cardinals RB Edgerrin James has been losing carries each week to rookie Tim Hightower and Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt suggested this week, he could be considering making the switch. This a move that will likely come sooner or later.

Addai has chance to play...
....according to head coach Tony Dungy, his starting running back RB Joseph Addai could play this Sunday. Addai resumed practicing Wednesday and should be able to play Sunday. If he's active, owners should have him in the line up matched up against the Patriots.

***Wide Receivers***

Holt continues to struggle this season...
....the Rams receiver is off to one of his worst starts and is only on pace to catch 59 balls this season. With the emergence of the rookie Avery, the Rams are hopeful he might draw away some of the double teams Holt is seeing every week. Owners should stay patient a while longer and see if things open up in St.Louis with RB Steven Jackson back this Sunday.

Lloyd unsure about his return....
....the Bear's receiver did not sound too certain about his chances to return according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Lloyd practiced Wednesday, but on a limited basis. Even if he practices Friday, unless the reports are off the charts, he's probably better off on your bench this week.

Stokley could return in Week 9...
....the Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley appears on track to return to the field in Week 9. Stokley was limited Wednesday, but did say he felt good. Owners in deep leagues that need WR help, may want to hold off on playing Stokley until we see he's completely healthy.

***Tight Ends***

Witten intends to play...
....the sound bite out of Valley Ranch, Witten says he expects to play. Would you expect to hear otherwise? If Witten is limited or splitting reps on Friday, expect to see more of Bennett on Sunday.

Scheffler limited Wednesday....
....the Broncos tight end was limited in practice Wednesday with a groin injury. Scheffler has been sidelined since week 5, so it's a surprise to hear he's still limited. If he can't go, owners should look at TE Daniel Graham as sleeper pick up this week (2-Tds in last two games).

***IDP: Individual Defense***

Sanders could return this week...
.......according to the Tribune Star, head coach Tony Dungy thinks the Colts could get Safety Bob Sanders back in Week 9. The defensive back returned to practice Wednesday, but owners in IDP leagues may want to wait before reinserting Sanders into your line up.

Revis getting better each week...
....the Jets defensive back has been playing steady each week in coverage. Revis has only been beaten for one score this season. Owners that play in leagues that focus on big plays, may want to consider a new option as Revis is seeing teams start to throw in the other direction.

Kerney likely to miss Sunday...
....according to head coach Mike Holmgren, Kerney's shoulder has not improved and he is unlikely to play this week. Kerney has 5 sacks this season. Owners should plan on sitting the defensive end this week.
