Romo is Spreading the Cheer

Well the month did not start fashionably well for Tony Romo and his boys as they dropped their first two meetings to the Giants and Chargers, but since then it's been a joyous seasons greetings in Dallas.

The Cowboys will finish the month at .500 (2-2) having won their last two games in December. And while they finish even, it has become clearly undeniable that Romo has been a big part of the Cowboys success.

Even in the two losses Romo played well completing 60 of 85 passes (70.5% completion) and throwing five touchdowns with no turnovers. Despite his success in the early part of December the Cowboys struggled to get in the win column and the team faced the possibility of playoff elimination.

Since their 20-17 home loss to the Chargers, Tony Romo and the Cowboys have rebounded in a big way. The Cowboys quarterback has continued his hot hand passing for 312 yards in a Week 15 win over the Saints and 286 yards Sunday night against the Redskins. Romo completed 65 percent of his passes (47 of 72) in the two wins and need just two touchdown throws.

In the past, the month of December has not treated the Cowboys very well. With the two wins in the past two weeks the Cowboys are now set up for a January 3rd showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles. When these two teams meet in "the house that Jerry built" they will be playing for the NFC East crown.

Cowboys fans will hope the month of January can be more generous and kind to Romo and the boys.

Check back everyday for more football!
