Week Eight

“Sunday’s Heroes”

Week Eight in the NFL.…

Against the Niners defense it took every one of Peyton Manning’s 48 passes to generate enough offense and steam to overcome the upstart visitors. Manning completed 31 of his passes for 347 yards, but was shut out of the endzone for the first time this season.

The Jaguars offense got a much needed boost on Sunday from running back Maurice Jones-Drew, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the winless Titans. Jones-Drew rushed for 177 yards on only eight carries, including a couple of long touchdown runs; one for 80-yard and another for 79-yards.

The Charger’s wide receiver Vincent Jackson has blossomed into one of the league’s elite. On Sunday against the Raiders Jackson snagged eight passes for 103 yards and a score to lead the Bolt’s passing attack.
