My Fantasy Read…

Great news for Brady owners, seeing him start will definitely raise his fantasy value, although many of us will be holding our breaths hoping he doesn’t take any unnecessary hits……..last season Jones was plagued with injuries in Green Bay, but now healthy its no surprise to see him back on the field as the team’s number three receiver……..its worth noting the report out of Indy of the team’s intent to use Donald Brown in some kind of rotation will more than likely hurt Addai’s production and fantasy value……..the early reports out of Kansas City indicating Dwayne Bowe had been demoted may have served as the wake-up call the receiver needed, expect to see Bowe emerge as the team’s number one and best pass receiving option in 2009……..the reports from Philly indicating that Westbrook will sit the preseason opener could be an indicator that head coach Andy Reid is just being cautious with his superstar tailback. Westbrook comes with some risk, but he should still be considered no lower than a mid RB2 especially in PPR leagues..…..it looks like those riding the Knowshon Moreno bandwagon will have much to cheer about Friday with the rookie starting. His stock is on the rise and he’s looking more and more like a RB2………it looks like Steve Smith owners have dodged a bullet. It’s likely the team will bring him back slowly, but he’s still a definite WR1 in fantasy drafts……..there’s a lot of talk about Portis bouncing back this season and it looks like Zorn wants to improve those odds by resting his running back. Last season Portis started fast, but broke down. He’ll be a solid RB2, but if he can stay healthy he could be even better…….the Bronco’s receiver will be under the spotlight this week facing a big trial date on Thursday. The outcome of the case will have a significant effect on Marshall’s fantasy value. If convicted he could face suspension.
