....the Bears running back started the night slow with just 20-yards rushing on his first 11 carries. Forte would gain 53-yards and score a touchdown on his next 12 handles. The rookie from Tulane would add a couple of catches and finish the night with 101-total yards to help lead the Bears come from behind victory.

Rodgers throws for 260-yards in loss...
....the Packers quarterback tossed the rock 39 times completing 24 passes for 260-yards in the Monday night loss. Rodgers started out hot in the first half completing 16 of 24 for 176-yards with two touchdowns. The Packers quarterback would only complete 8 passes in the second half for just 84-yards.

Olsen is solid for Bears in big win.....
.....the Bears tight end out of the "U" was busy catching 5 passes for 49-yards and a touchdown. Olsen was quiet in the first half with just one catch for 7-yards, but found his groove in the second half with Bears quarterback Kyle Orton. Olsen would catch a 4 passes in the second half including a 3-yard touchdown to start the second half and get the Bears back into the Monday night contest.

Jennings reaches the end-zone...
.....the Packers wide receiver was plenty busy making grabs all night, but a stingy defense kept the Green Bay receiver in check. Jennings finished the night with 6 catches for 38-yards, but did manage to find the end-zone on a 7-yard touchdown reception from Aaron Rodgers.

MONDAY FOOTBALL NOTES...

[player & football notes]

Willis has big afternoon against Rams...
....the Niners linebacker is an IDP monster, adding 13 more tackles on Sunday. The productive afternoon brings his total for the season to 134 tackles.

Cutler joins the 4,000 club for 2008...
....the Broncos quarterback passed for over 350-yards on Sunday bringing his season total to over 4,000-yards becoming the 3rd quarterback to reach the club this season (other members: Brees-4,683, Warner-4,320).

Bailey plays well in loss.....
.....the Broncos defensive back made his return to action on Sunday in Week 16 and finished the game with 9 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble. Bailey did not suffer any setbacks and should be ready for the big AFC West showdown with San Diego.

Jets stumble and in trouble...
.....the Jets were sitting at 8-3 atop the AFC East staring at the playoff picture from the inside out and now having lost three of their last four, they will need help on Sunday when they face the Miami Dolphins (10-5). Last season the Phins were 1-15, before the season started the Jets shipped Pennington out to Miami for quarterback Icon Brett Favre, and now Pennington has a chance to ship the Jets and Favre home for the post season.

No fantasy in Indy this week...
....with everything set for the Colts, a number 5 seed and the post season next on the agenda the team will choose to sit most of its notables this Sunday. Harrison, Addai, Rhodes, and Sanders all will likely keep one another company on the sideline in Week 17.

Broncos RB position, a dangerous one to hold...
....the Broncos lost two more running backs to injury on Sunday. Both P.J. Pope and Selvin Young will be shelved (placed on IR) for the remainder of the season and the most unlikely candidate (Tatum Bell) when this season began (because he was in Detroit about to be handed his walking papers) will be asked to carry the load and come up big for the Orange (Crush) and Blue Sunday night against the Chargers.
